This week the school nurse wants to try Jalen at the peanut-free table, which is right next to where the principal stands in the cafeteria. He is supposed to drink his fill of Elecare first, then he is allowed to go sit with his friends afterwards. Jalen says that once he is full, he does not think anything about the food around him. As for me, I have my doubts. I am not comfortable with this set up, but feel I need to compromise. We'll give it a go, as the English say. So far this week, he reports no sneaking.
We shall see...

I forgot to blog that Jalen revealed more of the sneaking story on Sunday. He said that last Wednesday, he took the whole bag (and I mean a big bag) of rock candy he'd gotten from Nana and traded it all for his friends' school lunches. I only found out about it when I sent Brendan in to get a piece of candy for me. I was so mad!
